About Coleman
More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark. In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.
- Screened-in sun shelter ideal for camping, tailgaters, and more
- Telescoping pole frame sets up in less than 3 minutes
- Provides 195 square feet of shade; 2 doors for entry/exit
- No-see-um mesh walls provide full insect protection
- Measures 15 by 7.33 by 13 feet (W x H x D)

This review is from: Coleman 15 x 13 Instant Screened Shelter (Sports) I researched this screen tent, and thought it would be big enough to go around a standard campground picnic table (8' long and 5' wide including benches). Unfortunately the shape and slope of the sides greatly reduce the usable area of this tent and made for a somewhat frustrating camping experience. Unfortunately the free shipping option from Amazon took ten days to get here, at which point it was too late for us to even try it out, much less return it and look for new one. So we set it up at the campsite and discovered that the picnic table almost poked out the two door ends of the screen tent, and we had to duck under the tent and bend to get into and out of it and around the table. We like to cook with the camp stove on the end of the picnic table, and we had to keep the screen doors open so we could use the ends of the table, thus defeating the purpose of the screen. The tent didn't keep anything dry when it rained either, again because of the sloping walls. All in all, a... This review is from: Coleman 15 x 13 Instant Screened Shelter (Sports) My husband put this up by himself in less than a minute. It is the first screen house i have owned that fits back in the carrying bag it came with. It is big enough to fit over any size picnic table. it has two doors. It ALSO HAS SPF!!! This is the best one on the market. The price is great. Do not hesitate to buy this screen house. 15 of 17 people found the following review helpful By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Coleman 15 x 13 Instant Screened Shelter (Sports) I have had this screen house for 6 weeks. I put it up in about 5 minutes by myself without difficulty. It has been in place ever since, in spite of rain, hail and high winds. I wanted a screen house both for myself and my cats. They have "ABO Fun Run" tunnels joined together to lace about the back yard, but like to roll and snooze in the cool grass. I joined the tunnels to one side of the screen house with cable ties, and left the other zip entry for me. I reasoned that it would be perfect because it has no floor, and the angle of the sides would permit some sun and rain to enter. The grass continues to grow, dispelling my fear that it would soon be a mud pit. I mowed inside it last week with a reel mower.I got additional tent pegs to secure the base so that the cats cannot squeeze out underneath, and they have worked wonderfully. No escapes 24/7. They have not damaged the screen fabric at all, and I am sure they have tried. I feel better knowing my kitties have... Read more |

| 88 of 89 people found the following review helpful By Shelby Skye (the Pacific Northwest, United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Coleman Montana 8 Tent (Sports) Bought this tent for a two-week camping trip to Canada for two adults and two large dogs. We put a queen-size air mattress in one end of the tent and used the other side for luggage, dressing, storing chairs, etc. Dogs slept in the middle. Very comfortable, very good ventilation. Had plenty of room and privacy. Followed the directions and it was easy to set up. Door is fantastic - so much better than regular zip doors. It rained four days of our trip -- big downpours and very windy. As long as objects did not push up against the inside walls of the tent, then things stayed dry. This was the best purchase we made all summer and I can't wait to take it out next year! 85 of 87 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: Coleman Montana 8 Tent (Sports) All I can say is "Wow"!Cheaper than most family tents, but actually keeps the rain out. I'm 30 minutes north of Seattle. Just unpacked and put up the tent this morning as soon as it arrived during an hour no rain break, then it started pooring. Eight hours of rain and it's still bone dry inside out in my backyard. I can't believe a 450mm shell/tent can do that. More than enough room for our whole family, me, wife, 13yr and 1yr old daughters. Two big foam beds and a play pen to boot. I searched reviews all over the net trying to find a decent family tent and hoped the reviews I read about his one were all true, and I am happy to say they are. Coleman F-N rox. The rain fly that covers the outside of the door is part of the whole rain fly (all one piece), there is actually room for three chairs to stay dry under it (picture misleads that it is smaller). I was just out there smoking a cig thinking, America still has a few great companies left that mean... You'll need a campsite big enough to hold it - like it may not fit on an old school standard size 'tent pad', but it's not obnoxiously enormous at all... I wanted something new after my recent camping trip in my old walmart tent ended up with us in puddles. I saw 3 or 4 people in the campground with this tent and really liked it. I took it down by myself in about 5 minutes - and my first attempt at rolling it up, it fit perfectly back in the bag. I love the multiple power ports. Don't really understand the rear cooler access - I probably wont use it for that purpose, but it's nice to have some access ports for whatever reason you might wanna use it for!
